Job Function/Requirements: 
  • This position will provide our production labs with information required to culture, batch and bottle serial files and manage data related to raw material consumption and cost accounting
Essential Job Duties: 
  • Provides initial formulations to culture lab personnel
  • Provides blank production forms to labs on both formulation and processing operations
  • Initial approval of culture production logs ensuring the required parameters have been met and the titers/volumes grown are adequate to complete a given order
  • Verifies math calculations
  • Maintains bulk fluid inventory, ensuring bulk fluids are used to fill a work order prior to providing the culture lab(s) with the initial formulation
  • Liaison with staff members on formulation and/or processing requirements
  • Assist in assuring the product timelines are met
  • Entry of information for regulatory accountability and financial processes, including inventory
  • Execution of inventory processes related to financial reporting
  • Be familiar with protocols applicable to the planning and batching and bottling departments
  • Collection and organization of processes related to cost accounting and analysis of product
  • Incumbent is responsible for the accurate recording of manufacturing processes on all printed forms
  • Accountable for complying with the Sanofi/Merial/Newport Business Code of Ethics to the highest standards
  • Accountable for complying with the Company Handbook and all policies set by the Company
Nature and Scope: 
  • The incumbent reports to Manufacturing Manager
  • Position will ensure timely delivery, quality of work, focused direction and alignment of efforts with strategic objectives
  • Incumbent will promote safety in all work areas
  • Incumbent acts within the guidelines established by company policy and delegated authority
  • Four year degree with a focus in Microbiology, Biology or related field and/or 5+ years’ experience working in the laboratory is preferred
  • Working knowledge of principle of veterinary biologics, production, QC, OSHA, regulatory policies and internal SOP’s
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
  • Flexible and dependable with good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
