Brian Schwartz

Education: Brian graduated from South Dakota State University in December, 2005, earning a degree in Ag Business. He also has minors in Ag Marketing and Agronomy.

Industry Experience: Brian has experience in many aspects of swine production, including farrowing facilities, where he assisted with care, management, ultra-sounding, and breeding; finishing facilities, where he was responsible for controlling ventilation as well as maintaining the facilities; overall animal care such as nutrition, vaccination, and transportation; and communicating herd health information with management and veterinarians. He is PQA certified. Following graduation, he worked in the Swine Production area of Land O' Lakes in Sioux Center, Iowa, before coming to Newport. 

Role at Newport: As a Field Account Manager, Brian is responsible for servicing, growing, and maintaining accounts throughout the upper Midwest, including Minnesota, Iowa, northern Illinois, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and eastern Nebraska. He builds and maintains relationships with veterinarians, clinic staff, and purchasing agents, promoting Newport's products and diagnostic services. He is also dedicated to developing contacts with potential new customers throughout the Midwest. Brian's primary focus is on swine accounts.
