Craig Pfeifer, DVM

Education: Dr. Pfeifer received his B.S. from Augustana College in Sioux Falls in 1973. He majored in biology and chemistry with a minor in English. He received his DVM from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1977.

Industry Experience: Dr. Pfeifer began veterinary practice in Worthington, MN, at the Veterinary Medical Center in 1977, practicing general medicine with a focus on swine production, medicine, and management. He was President and Managing Partner at the Veterinary Medical Center from 1980 to 2002. He co-founded Oxford Laboratories, and served as Director of  Veterinary Services for the company. Dr. Pfeifer also served as Director of ProPig's Production System from 2002-2006. He attended the Swine Masters Program in Swine Production and Management at the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Swine Veterinarians.

Role at Newport: Dr. Pfeifer is co-founder and COO of the Prairie Holdings Group. In addition to these responsibilities, he works as a Technical Services Veterinarian for Newport in the United States as well as China. He is the Vice President of Newport Laboratories International, LLC.
