Kamesh Sirigireddy, B.V.Sc. & A.H., M.S., Ph.D., Diplomate ACVM

Education: Dr. Sirigireddy earned his B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry) from the College of Veterinary Services, A.N.G.R. Agricultural University, Hyderabad, India. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University.

Industry Experience: Dr. Sirigireddy's past work involved projects aimed at understanding the host-pathogen interactions of tick-borne pathogens, with the goal of developing better control and prevention strategies. His research accomplishments have resulted in the development of user-friendly diagnostic tests for emerging infectious diseases. After receiving his Ph.D., he worked at Kansas State University on a variety of projects related to animal health.

Role at Newport: As Senior Scientist in the Research and Development department, Dr. Sirigireddy will be responsible for creating and executing various projects involving discovery research, product development and improvement, and licensing of new biologicals. Investigation and the development of control strategies for new and emerging pathogens will be a key focus of his work.
