Mycoplasma bovis
- Associated with respiratory problems, lameness and middle ear infections
- DNA fingerprinting performed in-house to identify strain differences for bacterin formulation
- Multiple isolates can be combined to manufacture a bacterin to address strain diversity

Serological Response to Autogenous Mycoplasma bovis Vaccination
Two trials were conducted to asses the serological response to vaccination of cattle using autogenous Mycoplasma bovis bacterins. In Study #1, seronegative calves were vaccinated and evaluated. In Study #2, mixed calves were used to compare the response from vaccination with an autogenous bacterin and a commercial "off-the-shelf" bacterin.
