Broad Spectrum Protection in a Single Dose

Haemophilus parasuis is an early colonizer of the upper respiratory tract of pigs1. Virulent strains of H. parasuis can invade the host and cause systemic lesions characterized by fibrinous polyserositis, arthritis, and meningitis.1 H. parasuis primarily affects young pigs 4-8 weeks of age but sporadic disease can be observed in adult pigs.1 Disease caused by H. parasuis has a sudden onset, short course and high morbidity and mortality rates.1

Clinical Signs1

Clinical signs are seen primarily in pigs 4-8 weeks old and include:

  • High fever (106.7ºF)
  • Lack of appetite
  • Severe coughing
  • Abdominal breathing
  • Swollen joints
  • Reluctance to rise
  • Paddling
  • Trembling
